Aamena Nagdee is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is a member of the Corporate Finance team, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions.

Aamena is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and has over 15 years’ experience in providing buy-side and sell-side due diligence assignments across all industry sectors working for both strategic and financial buyers to local and international clients. She commenced her professional career with KPMG in 1999 in the Industrial and Automotive Audit department. During this time, she audited clients across the Manufacturing, Retail, Construction and Automotive sectors. After the completion of her articles, Aamena joined the Deal Advisory department in Johannesburg.

Aamena has been involved in many buy-side and sell-side due diligence assignments across all industry sectors working for both strategic and financial buyers (both local and international clients). She also assisted clients with other transaction services assignments that include, profitability studies, working capital reviews and stock exchange compliance work.

Aamena's industry experience includes Logistics, Industrial, Retail, Telecommunications, Insurance, Mining, Private Equity and Capital Markets. She has served clients in a number of countries across the rest of Africa, including Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, DRC, Zambia and Mauritius. 

Aamena has also performed Independent Business Reviews across Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Botswana and Kenya. She was responsible for the rolling out of Transaction Services training locally and in Africa. In November 2018, she joined the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance team in Johannesburg, specializing in M&A.

Moreover, Aamena undertook buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, various private equity firms like Ethos, RMB Ventures, Actis, Southern Palace, Old Mutual Private Equity, Shanduka, Emerging Capital Partners and Rockwood.
