Our Corporate Citizenship activities are aligned with both how we conduct business as a firm and the core values that FTI Consulting professionals adopt in their work and daily lives. We seek to share the essential skills of employees that are individual to our company with those organisations and young people we help.
In the EMEA region, our Corporate Citizenship activities have four main strands:

- Employee Volunteering - Skilled and General (in London we have our award-winning Experts in Schools volunteer programme)

FTI Consulting London
The FTI Consulting UK charity partner 2019-2020, as voted for by its employees, is Whizz-Kidz. Whizz-Kidz exists to transform the lives of young wheelchair users, providing life-changing equipment, training and support — at the right time in their lives. We aim to enable fun, active childhoods and help young people unlock their potential, supporting them to enjoy independent, confident lives and the bright futures they deserve.
Charitable contributions from the FTI Consulting London team will be used specifically to: Provide 25 children with specialist, tailored wheelchairs to give them life-changing independence and open 180 places at the local Whizz-Kidz Club in London, where the children can make friends, try new activities and develop vital life skills.
FTI Consulting Paris
FTI Consulting Paris partnered with their first Charity Partner in February 2019, Article One, to match employees with young people to mentor and encourage FTI professionals to share their skills in a classroom environment to inspire ambitions of young people.
FTI Consulting Brussels
The Brussels office works closely with L’Ecole Chanterelle, a local school supporting young children with learning difficulties predominantly from disadvantaged backgrounds. Support varies from fundraising to hosting the children on fun days spent out of class.
FTI Consulting South Africa
South Africa is partnered with Lawyers Against Abuse to provide legal advice to women experiencing domestic violence. Also, we provide pro bono support to Food Forward.
Other Charitable Giving
Payroll Giving – This programme enables all UK employees to make a regular pre-tax commitment to charity through the monthly payroll deductions. It is a very simple way of maximising the value and impact of our donations to designated charities.
Matched Funding — All EMEA employees donating to charities can extend their generosity from £225 or $300 equivalent in matched funding from FTI Consulting.
FTI Consulting encourages all staff to use 8 hours per year to volunteer and use their skills to benefit the local communities in which FTI Consulting operates.
All staff are encouraged to share their volunteering opportunities on our Corporate Citizenship portal which can also be searched for local opportunities.
In the London office, FTI Consulting is proud to partner with Young Citizens to develop an innovative economic and media literacy educational programme called Experts in Schools. The programme was created to increase understanding of economic cycles, Brexit and, more recently, for navigating fake news. FTI Consulting professionals across all five businesses were responsible for helping to develop content and produce the materials. In 2018 alone, 45 London volunteers reached 27,000 young people through Experts in Schools classroom volunteering, Brexit conferences and lesson plans. Ninety-three percent of all the students who have taken part in the programme have stated that it has increased their knowledge and 100% of the volunteers said that they would volunteer again. In March 2019, Experts in Schools won Best Community Programme at the Managing Partners Forum Awards and, in 2016, won Gold at The Corporate Engagement Awards for the Best Educational Programme.
FTI Consulting provides pro bono services for a variety of organisations, donating approximately $1m of services per year. In recent years our EMEA professionals have worked with Place2Be, Together for Short Lives and UNICEF, among many other projects, on specific issues that require the expertise and experience of our people.
Our London office has achieved and maintained the ISO14001 standard since 2016. This accreditation is highly regarded as it demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and the environment. Our Facilities Management team works with our professionals and suppliers across the organisation to continually review, manage and improve our processes to minimise our impact on the environment and increase efficiency.
