Mark Hunt is a Senior Managing Director in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting practice at FTI Consulting based in London. He has over 30 years of experience advising corporates, regulators and lawyers on regulation, compliance, accounting, commercial disputes and investigations. His focus is on Financial Services, particularly banks and lenders, working with risk, compliance, remediation and legal teams to manage regulatory and litigation matters in the UK and internationally.
Mark is a senior Forensic Accountant whose practice includes investigations, expert determinations and expert litigation support on disputes. His work has included a number of complex international disputes for both claimants and defendants, including matters relating to complex financial instruments, structured products and financial reporting compliance. He acts as expert in accounting and auditing matters including giving evidence in Court.
Mark is a Skilled Person on the FSMA 2000 Section 166 framework in relation to Risk & Governance, Conduct and Financial Crime. In the FS sector his work has included investigations into governance and compliance failings, mis-selling and remediation of mis-selling, auditor negligence, and product performance. His clients include major banking and financial institutions, alternative lenders, asset managers, regulators and law firms.
Mark joined FTI Consulting in 2015 from BDO where he was Head of Financial Services. Prior to joining BDO in 2007 Mark had been a Partner at KPMG for 13 years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
