Mark Gillespie is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and a member of the Economic and Financial Consulting practice in London. Prior to joining FTI Consulting Mark Gillespie was an equity valuation analyst.

Mark has experience of working in a number of different sectors and has particular experience of multi-discipline projects that involve complex valuation frameworks and the coordination of a number of quantum, market and economic experts. He also has experience of the analysis and application of valuation discounts relating to liquidity, marketability and lack of control.

He has worked on matters within the Family Court, other UK courts, international arbitration and within the framework of competition law.

Mark has provided support to both legal teams and directly to the parties involved in a matter. This has included business valuations, assessments of liquidity of business assets, information requests and assistance in the preparation of disclosures. He also works regularly with Counsel to prepare cross examination questions. Mark Gillespie has been instructed directly as a single joint expert and regularly supports other experts at FTI Consulting.

Mark’s experience of Family Court matters includes performing business valuations, reviewing Forms E, preparing questionnaires, reviewing the liquidity of different assets and assisting Counsel in their review of disclosures.

Mark’s recent experience of being instructed directly includes a matter involving the valuation of a number of industrials businesses, a portfolio of venture capital interests, valuation of private equity limited partner and general partner investments and initial advice in relation to the valuation of a hedge fund.
