FTI Consulting Announces 2017 Partner-Level Promotions in EMEA Region
London, 5 January, 2017 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced that 12 professionals have been promoted to Senior Managing Director within the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”) region.
The promotions are: Richard Edwards, Andrew Johnson, Aris Karcanias, Dido Laurimore, Alaric Marsden, Noel Matthews, Meloria Meschi, Ant Moore, Ruth Steedman, Richard Sunderland, Navin Waghe and Andrew Wynn.

Mr. Edwards is a member of the International Arbitration practice within the Economic and Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, he has more than 20 years of experience in valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis and research across a wide range of industries. At FTI Consulting, Mr. Edwards has worked almost exclusively in the assessment of damages and preparation of expert reports in international arbitration and litigation cases.
Mr. Johnson is a member of the Turnaround & Restructuring Services practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Based in London, he advises lenders, corporates and other stakeholders across a range of industries, including business support services, oil and gas, renewables, logistics, retail, consumer products, food processing and production, manufacturing and construction. Mr. Johnson focuses on financial advisory, contingency planning and insolvent restructurings.
Mr. Karcanias is Co-Lead of the Clean Energy practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Mr. Karcanias has more than a decade of consulting experience in the clean energy sector with a strong technical engineering background. He has conducted extensive technical, market and economic analyses of renewable energy systems with a focus in supporting utilities, IPPs, investors and manufacturers in formulating strategic market entry, conducting M&A, and he has been appointed as an expert witness in arbitration and litigation.
Ms. Laurimore serves as Co-Head of the Real Estate sector team in the UK within the Strategic Communications segment. Based in London, she has advised domestic and international real estate companies on their communications strategies for the last 18 years, including quoted and non-quoted property companies, fund managers, private equity, real estate trade bodies, fund managers and individual real estate funds. Her broad expertise includes corporate reputation, financial communications, as well as communications strategies surrounding initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Marsden is a member of the Regulated Industries practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Mr. Marsden has 18 years of experience working with a range of economic and strategy consultancies. His focus is on supporting utility and energy companies in formulating commercial strategy, supporting large investment decisions, and informing their engagement with the government and regulators.
Mr. Matthews is a member of the Claims & Disputes practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Mr. Matthews has provided financial and economic consulting advice to clients for more than 17 years. His particular focus is on expert financial evidence in international arbitration and litigation – including providing evidence on the quantification of lost profits, business valuation, and the assessment of wasted costs.
Dr. Meschi is a member of the Claims & Disputes practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Dr. Meschi has more than 15 years of experience in applying economic and statistical analysis to complex litigation, regulatory, competition and policy issues in a wide variety of industries. Dr. Meschi has been retained as an expert in proceedings before national courts and international arbitration tribunals, and has given oral evidence in several occasions.
Mr. Moore serves as Co-Head of the Digital & Creative Communications practice within the Strategic Communications segment. Based in London and with 20 years of consultancy experience, he leads a team advising clients on digital and social reputation management and integration strategies, spanning corporate communications, investor relations, issues management and crisis response situations.
Ms. Steedman is a member of the European Tax Advisory practice within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment. Based in London, Ms. Steedman leads FTI Consulting’s UK transfer pricing team. She has 20 years of transfer pricing experience with expertise in setting global strategy and implementing pragmatic transfer pricing solutions for multinationals.
Mr. Sunderland serves as the Co-Head of the Real Estate sector team in the UK within the Strategic Communications segment. Based in London, he has more than 18 years of experience in financial public relations, investor relations and corporate communications, the last 10 of which have been focused on real estate and the built environment.
Mr. Waghe is a member of the Claims & Disputes practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Mr. Waghe has more than 18 years of experience in providing financial and economic advice to a range of clients across different sectors. Mr Waghe acts as an expert in international arbitration, litigation and competition matters. He has a particular focus on valuation, lost profits, wasted costs, accounting disputes, market investigations and competition damages.
Mr. Wynn is a member of the Intellectual Property practice within the Economic & Financial Consulting segment. Based in London, Mr. Wynn has conducted economic and financial analyses on a wide range of issues for companies, law firms and public institutions during his 17 years in consultancy. He provides advice on the value of companies and their intellectual property or other intangible assets, the quantification of damages, transfer pricing and public policy issues.
