Jon Aarons is a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in London. Mr. Aarons is Global Head of Network Development in the Strategic Communications segment, coordinating cross-border business and developing the segment’s network of offices and affiliates, providing solutions for clients worldwide. He also serves as coordinator of the firm’s partnership with the World Economic Forum. Mr. Aarons is a specialist in international issues, crisis and litigation communications, with particular experience in emerging markets.

Mr. Aarons has around 30 years of strategic communications experience and joined the firm in 2000 having begun his career in politics. He has advised clients in all sectors and many international markets on every aspect of their engagement with the media, investors, policymakers and other stakeholders. His clients have included publicly traded and privately held companies, professional services firms and sovereign governments, business associations and public institutions.

He helped to build the firm's corporate communications, issues and crisis advisory capabilities in London, before being tasked with a wider mandate since 2006, developing the strategic communications network and coordinating business in the world's fastest growing and most challenging markets. He has focused particularly on establishing the firm's growing business in Russia, India and Africa, as well as its significant presence throughout all parts of Europe and the Middle East. In this role, he provides management support to several regional offices, leads cross-border business development initiatives and coordinates a comprehensive network of affiliates providing solutions for clients wherever they do business and need to communicate or explain.

Mr. Aarons graduated in politics at Exeter University, holds a postgraduate diploma in communications, advertising and marketing and was President of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2002. He is a member of the International Public Relations Association and the Royal Institute for International Affairs (Chatham House). He is a frequent contributor to industry conferences and publications.
