Brenda J. Bacon has been a member of the Board of FTI Consulting, Inc. since 2006 and serves as the Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee.
Ms. Bacon is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brandywine Senior Living, a privately held company with 27 senior living communities in five states (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware). Brandywine Senior Living has three additional communities in various stages of development. Ms. Bacon co-founded the Company in 1996.
From 1989 to 1993, Ms. Bacon served as Chief of Management and Planning, a cabinet-level position under New Jersey Governor James J. Florio. From 1992 to 1993, Ms. Bacon was on loan to the Presidential Transition Team for the transition of the Department of Health and Human Services. In 2013, Governor Christie appointed Ms. Bacon to the Rowan University Board of Trustees.
Ms. Bacon is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Assisted Living Federation of America (“ALFA”).
Ms. Bacon received her undergraduate degree from Hampton University and her Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
