Andrew Bonasera is a Managing Director in the FTI Consulting Health Solutions practice and is based in Washington D.C. Mr. Bonasera has more than thirteen years of professional experience in the public accounting industry, providing services in litigation consulting and forensic investigations.
Mr. Bonasera’s experience includes forensic investigations related to filing false claims for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement; commercial disputes between insurance companies and provider groups; Qui Tam investigations and; and investigations into the payment practices of a large health insurance payor. Mr. Bonasera has provided forensic and fraud advisory services in a number of industries, however his greatest experience is within Healthcare and Life Sciences. Mr. Bonasera specializes in providing financial modeling and strategic advice to healthcare organizations facing complex legal and regulatory issues.
A common theme to the Mr. Bonasera’s experiences is the analysis of structured data which ranges from collection and consolidation to cleansing and normalization. From these data, Mr. Bonasera constructs complex financial models; flexible in nature, allowing counsel and his clients to determine the impact of specific assumptions in support of real-time decision making. Mr. Bonasera has also supported counsel in large scale litigation by deconstructing opposing expert’s models, identifying industry and regulatory dynamics that rebut the opposition’s claims and provide means for resolution. Prior to joining FTI, Mr. Bonasera spent two years in the litigation support practices of KPMG and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Bonasera earned his M.S. in Finance from George Washington University and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond.
