FTI Consulting’s Partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF)
As an industry partner of the World Economic Forum, FTI Consulting joins a select group of global companies who work with global leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas that impact business and the economy. Our involvement means we are at the forefront of discussions in key global business and financial centres.
We were proud to take part in the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, 17-20 January.
In addition to our leaders’ participation in the agenda-shaping plenary discussions, we welcomed registered WEF participants at four events.
- On Tuesday 17th January, we hosted a breakfast discussion with Mr. Douglas Flint, Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc.
- That evening we were pleased to invite delegates to a nightcap reception to digest the day’s debate.
- On Wednesday 18th January, we joined The Economist Events for a panel discussion in which FTI Consulting EMEA’s Co-Chairman, Chris Osborne, spoke alongside Sir Tim Berners-Lee, pioneer of open data and the creator of the World Wide Web, to discuss the rising incidence of cyber-attacks in our technologically driven society.
- On Thursday 19th January, we presented a panel discussion on Learning from Africa, which looked at the innovations and advances that are reshaping the continent. For this session we were joined by Dr. Patrick Njoroge, Governor, Central Bank of Kenya, Aliko Dangote, President & Chief Executive, Dangote Industries Limited, Claver Gatete, Minister of Finance, Government of Rwanda, Haruki Hayashi, CEO Europe & Africa at Mitsubishi Corporation, and Hendrik du Toit, CEO, Investec Asset Management.
